New Trainings and January Newsletters Available from Foster Parent College
Foster Parent College provides online trainings for adoptive, kinship, and foster parents. In 2009, they made several new trainings available, including: Grief and Loss in the Care System, Culturally Competent Parenting, Child Safety and Supervision, Advanced Parenting Workshop on Anger, and Advanced Parenting Workshop on Lying. For a limited time, caregivers who qualify can receive a scholarship for one class, courtesy of Casey Family Programs. Further information about these courses, as well as other trainings and resources, is accessible on the Foster Parent College website.
Foster Parent College also offers two newsletters: Connections (for Resource Parents) and Solutions (for agencies and caseworkers). The January 2010 issues of these newsletters are now available online.
